initially built as a fishing lugger in Bergen, Norway in 1907.
used under the name "Njord", first equiped with a steam engine, later fitted with a diesel engine.
put out of commission between 1944 and 1989.
present owner Jaap van der Rest bought the ship 1989 and converted her himself to a modern sea-going vessel with ketch rigging, used for testing young people's staying power and courage.
charter ship since 1992, mostly sails in Danish and German waters and to Baltic Sea cities, participates in many maritime events such as the Kieler Woche and Hanse Sail Rostock.
in winter 2001/2002 converted to a 3-masted gaff schooner and rebuilding on the hull.
2008/2009 converted to a barkentine.
