10 voyages from New Bedford to the Pacific plus one voyage each to the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean from 1841-86.
in 1886 she went on a search for new whaling grounds in the Bering Strait, Beaufort Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk.
laid up in Fairhaven in 1913, then made 4 further voyages in 1916; finished whaling in 1921 after a total of 37 voyages.
she was later used for a number of film productions and has been museum ship under the ownership of the Mystic Seaport Museum Inc. since 1941.
according to some news in 2010 she will be restored now to become seaworthy again.
