A typical Mediterranean vessel. After damage in the Spanish Civil War she was restored in 1940, and new engines installed in 1960 made her sails unnecessary; she was laid up at Las Palmas in 1970.
In 1972 she was reconstructed and rigged as a brigantine, and several film shoots followed along with a re-rig as a barque.
She took part in the Tall Ships Race from Great Yarmouth to Oslo and made promotional and charter trips.
In 1984 she sailed the Tall Ships Race from Puerto Rico by way of Bermuda to Halifax and won the first stage. During the second stage, however, disaster struck and the barque sank.
