In construction and equipment she is particularly suited to the demands and requirements of people with physical disabilities.
She sails on a pairing system, with disabled and able-bodied trainees working together.
From Easter to October she makes voyages of three to fifteen days in British coastal waters, with frequent visits to Belgian, Dutch and French harbours. Between 1988 and 1989 she sailed the Caribbean with disabled people from the UK and the Bahamas. She sometimes escorts the Tall Ships Races without being an active competitor.
In 2007 she was awarded the Sail Training International Friendship Trophy, given to the ship which, in the opinion of the captains and crews of all the ships taking part in the Baltic Tall Ships Races series, has done most to promote international friendship and understanding.
