An authentic replica of an eighteenth-century vessel, built for Australia's bicentenary celebrations.

Work began in January 1988 at a yard constructed specially for the project; she was launched in December 1993 and commissioned in April 1994.

Her first voyage was to Sydney, calling at Albany, Adelaide, Hobart and Melbourne on the way, and she was displayed at the Australian National Maritime Museum until April 1995. A six-month voyage followed to mark the 225th anniversary of HM Bark Endeavour's voyage up the east coast of Australia, and a three-month voyage to New Zealand taking in eleven ports before returning to Fremantle.

In October 1996 she set out on the first leg of her world voyage, by way of South Africa to London and fifteen other UK ports; the second leg took her to North America. In 2004 she visited European ports, among them the Brest sailing festival, and in 2011–2012 circumnavigated Australia.

She is part of the Australian National Maritime Museum's historic fleet.

Bark was the official designation for such vessels in the eighteenth century; by her rig she is really closer to a full-rigged ship.
