Built in 1945 at Pukavik in Sweden as Orion, one of the last three-masted sailing schooners. She traded timber in the Baltic and on the British east coast and was laid up at Thisted in Denmark in 1974.

Square Sail Ltd. bought her in 1979 and began a complete restoration in 1985; in 1994 she was commissioned as a barque in eighteenth-century guise and appeared in a number of films.

In 2012 Square Sail sold her to Metaco LLP; under Russian owners she remained on the British register.

After striking a buoy on the Thames she suffered only minor damage, but many unsuccessful attempts at repair at Den Helder left her unseaworthy and unable to pay her way. She was finally scrapped at Kampen in the Netherlands in December 2022.
