Built in 1971 at Harvey F. Gamage's yard in South Bristol, Maine.

From 1998 the Los Angeles Maritime Institute operated her, providing character-building sail training adventures for young people.

In 2013 the South Bayfront Sailing Association took her over and uses her for educational programmes on the west coast of the United States.
