Built in 1924 at Rice Brothers in East Boothbay as a private yacht for the millionaire M. Eppley, to a design by John G. Alden.
Based in San Diego, she sailed for hire and raced in many classic yacht regattas through the 1980s. After an extensive restoration she offered day sailing and charter voyages in San Francisco Bay.
Following a change of owner she moved to the coast of Maine, where she is operated by the Portland Schooner Company.
