A new barque built to a modified design of the barque Kri Dewarutji, completed in Germany in 1953. Her keel was laid in 2010 at BVT Brenn- und Verformtechnik in Bremen, she was launched on 25 May 2011 and christened and commissioned as a sail training ship at Bremerhaven on 24 September that year.
Her maiden voyages between October 2011 and April 2012 called at IJmuiden, Saint-Malo, Vigo, Funchal on Madeira, the Canaries, La Coruña and Cork in Ireland.
