Built in 1885 by Aldous & Sons of Brightlingsea as a cutter-rigged oyster smack, registered CK 318.
Around 1900 she was owned by W. Pettican and fished until roughly the 1970s, working under engine from about 1910.
Between 2002 and 2004 the shipwright Dan Tester of Hollowshore, Kent, fully restored and rebuilt her, and in 2011 she was fitted with a three-cylinder Beta 25 engine.
Today she is used privately as a yacht and races successfully in smack events on the English East Coast.
