Built in 2003 by the Working Sail yard to the lines of the original Agnes, launched in 1841 — the last cutter to work out of the Isles of Scilly, sailed by Captain Stephen Jenkins.
The new Agnes was launched in May 2003 and first crossed the Atlantic. Since returning to the UK in 2006 she has been run by Working Sail as a living example of their work, letting people experience a pilot cutter for themselves, and she appears at the main sailing events on the French, English, Belgian and Dutch coasts.
Since 2013, when she entered charter work, she has sailed with guest crew exploring Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly and Brittany.
