Built in 1961 as the motor fishing vessel Arie Jacob KW 149 for N.V. Katwijksche Rederij en Haringhandel of Katwijk. From 1970 she fished for Rederij Krijgsman-Ouwehand as Marry Martin KW 149, and in October 1979 received a new Mirrlees & Blackstone diesel.
From 1981 she belonged to Rederij H. Ouwehand; in August 1987 Rederij D. & P. Hoek bought her and renamed her Pieter Agatha KW 191. In February 1991 she was sold to Rederij Van Laars Visserijketting of IJmuiden as Walvis, then lay idle for three years.
In 1995 Rick and Marjon Wiering of Akkrum in Friesland bought her, and in 1996/97 she was completely rebuilt at Franeker and rigged as a staysail schooner. For many years she sailed the Mediterranean as Barabah.
In 2005/06 she changed hands again, underwent a full yard overhaul, was renamed Adornate and fitted with a new 380 hp Cummins diesel.
